Darn!

Disclaimer: I may end up cussing on this blog entry. Actually I'm gonna replace the bad words with substitutes so maybe I won't cuss at all. Actually, to help get my point across, I may use actual bad words. So, if you are under the age of 18, I don't encourage reading this. Who knows what I'll do?

Last week I was hanging out with some high school students from church at the Landing, when I spilled my drink on my lap and said, "DARN IT". One of the guys told me that I just said a bad word. You see, he informed me that using darn is a substitute for using another word, and by using the word, "darn" it's just like saying,"damn". I do agree that by using darn is subsitting another word. I think it's a little extreme when, I say darn and someone catches me and says that I really meant something else.

So what am I supposed to do not say anything at all. What if I use the word, "gosh"! I guess that would be a substitute as well. To be honest, I don't loke to cuss. I have been watching myself ever since I had a little incident on the ride, "Deja Vu" at Magic Mountain. I seriously thought I was going to die because i thought that my saftey belt wasn't fastened correctly, and I used certain words that I shouldn't have used. You can talk to my good friend, Amy Morrison about that one. She'll tell you the whole thing.

I have made a list of words down below. One one side will be the word and on the other side will be some words that I use to substitute it with.

The "F" word - Fudge, Frick, Ferrulli
The "S" word - Shoot, Poo, Simon and Garfunkel
The "A" word - Butt
The "B" word - Bertha
The "D" word - Darn, Dang

What Just Happened

I woke up this morning with nothing to do. I decided to go to the local Best Buy here in beautiful Downey, California. I went to the music section and noticed there were a couple of Christmas CDs that were kind of crazy looking. First, was a Billy Idol Christmas CD. Then I saw a Twisted Sister Christmas CD. Don't get me wrong, I like both Billy Idol and Twisted Sister, but they should have put this stuff out about maybe twenty years ago. You know, when they were both quazi-big. I'm just saying that when I'm in the mood to go out and buy a Christmas CD, The last thing I expect is Billy Idol or Twisted Sister. Also, On at least one of the album covers should have something burning. You know, like Santa or a candy cane or maybe even Frosty The Snowman

P.S. I din't notice this before, On the Twisted Sister Cd, the wreath is indeed burning. I thought It was just glowing. MY BAD!!!

Work!!!!

Today was insane. There was just to many things going on and I wanted to seriously beat the crap out of almost all of the customers today. I can't believe how many complete idiots live in and around this crazy mixed-up city. It's ridiculous!!!
Almost everybody had to complain about something. It's all over, for now anyway.

I Guess I've Been Living Under A Rock

This morning I was flipping through the channels and Turned on the "get your pets fixed" part on The Price Is Right. To my surprise, Drew Carey was doing it and NOT Bob Barker. Why did this happen? I knew Bob was gonna stop doing it. I thought it was gonna be mid-season. Ridiculous!

Also, I really want you to vote for the greatest Looney Tunes of all time. Just go to the, "I Need Your Help" blog and vote. Remember kids, Voting ends on December 3. Here is another rule. You can tell me in person! Again, this serves two purposes: A) I think it would be fun to see what my friends think and 2) I really want to have a Looney Tunes party! So get your vote on!

Rock And Roll

Up until recently, I really Hated Neil Young's voice. He sounded cool on, "Keep On Rockin' In The Free World" but that was it. That was until Dave Smith introduced me to some footage he found of him on Youtube at his Live Rust concert from the late seventies. There was this song that I may have heard when I was younger called, "Cinnamon Girl". After listening to this version of the song, I had to hear it again. I actually thought it was good. I mean, it instantly became my favorite Neil Young song. I went on iTunes and downloaded it the next day. and I really can't get enough of it.

Now to switch gears a little bit. Last week I was listening to K-ROQ and they really had nothing good playing on their 40 minutes of whatever except for the new Foo Fighters song and that one Face To Face song that I like. I think it's called Disconnected. Anywho, Then this song came on by the band Spoon. Which I think is an awful name. The song is called "The Underdog".

I heard it and I thought it was alright. The next day K-ROQ played it again and I thought it was really catchy. Then when I came back from work Spoon was the musical guest on SNL. They played that song and another one that was just really catchy.

The next day, I was at Best Buy just doing some fantasy video game shopping and that song was playing in the store. I don't rarely do this... I bought a CD that was not a greatest hits collection. So I took it home and flistened to the CD. This was one CD that I got that I thought there was more to than just 2 songs. I started listening to other songs on it and I then realized that I either waisted my money or I should give this band a chance.

So Spoon, I'm gonna give you a chance. Don't dissapoint me. I don't want to do what I did to Amy Winehouse and put your two good songs on my computer and give your CD away. And yes, I bought an Amy Winehouse CD. As my good friend Scott Martin would say, "Deal With It'!

An Actual Blog... No Nonsense This Time

Today I had a crazy feeling. I felt unexcited about going to church. Inststead, a friend and I went out for breakfast. I just don't understand, I used to get really excited to go even if I wasn't getting anything out of it. Maybe that's it, I'm fed up with not getting anything out of church. I find myself going more to set an example for the students and I go for the worship and the fellowship afterwards.

I have checked out Revolution (A small church in Downey that some of my friends go to) a couple of times but, I told myself that I was not going to turn my back on Downey First Christian because they have helped me out a lot. Plus, I have established myself as a youth leader and I really like helping out at The Burn (Our student ministries).

Another thing is that I am starting to feel distant because I only have a few friends my own age that go to my church. I know, I shouldn't go to church for friends. That, for the longest time was the only place I could go to hang out with my friends. A lot of them started going to different churches or they moved away. But I am greatful for the friends that I have.

I just really miss the energy I had long ago. I miss getting something out of a message. I miss going out to lunch every week with my friends. I miss Sundays. I want it back damn it! I don't know what I have to do. but I'm gonna do something. I wish I knew. Gosh!!!

I need to stop feeling sorry for myself because this may just turn out to be "EMO". I guess this is why the blog was created in the first place, to vent out against the man.

Please if any of my friends read this, I am in pain here. Please pray for me. I need something.
-Thank You
