The Dissapointment In My Life

It's time for me to tell you all something. This is not easy for me. I have a secret that I need to put out in the open. This means that many of you may loose respect for me. There is an addiction I am facing. I've been facing it for almost a year. I have just not told anybody about it until now.

Let me start with this. When I was very young in life, my parents were into watching a soap opera called, "One Life to Live". I always thought it was stupid to sit down and watch these stories unfold day after day after day. Now that I do not have cable or satellite, and I don't work until later in the day, I found myself watching this show. And I got hooked in.

Please pray for my soul!

TMZ

I wonder if I can get a job wth TMZ. I'm watching it right now (The shame, the shame). I just wanna be one of those guys who are like, "Okay, so we got Lee Majors coming out of the Ivy and man, he's really let himself go".

I'm About To Do Something Insane!!!

As some of you know, I work at Albertson's. It's not the best job in the world, but I kind of like it. I work at the customer service lobby. My job includes processing film, sending out Money Grams, cashing checks, cashing lottery tickets and ringing up items in the store.

For a while, I've done nothing but complain about how much my job really sucks. It really doesn't suck. I don't get paid a lot of money and I just don't like dealing with rude people. People are rude. Not everybody. A good part of our population is rude.

Here's my point, I get paid very little for my job. Checkers get paid way more money than me and don't do as much. I just don't think that's fair. You're probably thinking that Chris is just writing another, "Woe is me" blog. I'm not. I'm just getting something off of my chest.

Since this Summer, I've been really trying to move up to checker. I've been working harder than ever before. I also don't make as many mistakes as I have in the past. Whenever I ask about becoming a checker, the answer is no. Also, the Paramount store closed (The one next to Wal-Mart on Rosecrans) down and most of the workers from that store now work here at the Downey store which lessens the chance of me becoming a checker.

This is where the title of my blog comes into play. I'm about to do something insane. I am going to ask the store director if I can at least train to become a checker. That way if something were going to happen to a checker I'd be ready to go.

I know I don't always think things through all the way before I do them. So, feel free to send me a comment on this blog. Thank you. This venting session is done.

My Fellow Americans

The past few weeks have become rather interesting at church. I've been nominated as the head of the Media Ministry. True, I nominated myself. I didn't do it because of the attention. I didn't do it because I've always wanted to lead a ministry. I did it because the ministry faded away. It's been gone for about a year and a half and I felt that it needed to come back. I've been involved making videos at church now for three years and I needed to do something about it.

The Media Ministry is just a group of people that takes video and pictures of what goes on at church and different "church oriented" events. We also put together videos and slideshows to highlight the other ministries around church. That's not just what it is. It's also a great opportunity to get to know other people who have a passion for it. It is also great to learn off of each other. I've already started recruiting and I hope that this ministry will continue to grow within the next year.

I know that I'm not the leader yet, and I'm probably in over my head. So be it. I just want to make a difference at church. My fellow Americans, we need change and progress to help make this ministry work. You may ask yourselves, "Can we"? I answer you, "Yes we can"!

I'm Chris Luna And I Don't Approve This Message.

So the "Cool" at Prop 8 thought it would be a great idea to get a celebrity to endorse a NO vote on Prop 8. But Why Samuel L. Jackson? That's just not cool. Got that Sam, Not cool at all. I'm still voting yes. Here's the dang commercial.
