Since Everybody's Going Digital...

I'm a pretty basic guy. I don't have cable or satellite, and I sure as heck don't have HD. Sucks to be me. It sucks because in February, 2009, The government is cutting the analog signals and everybody is going to have to go digital. That's cool but I really didn't feel like spending more money on getting cable or a pretty decent tv (Although it would bed pretty sweet).

Then, on Friday, I got a coupon in the mail (Oooooh) for a digital converter box. It was like $40.00 off (High Five). So I headed out to Best Buy and picked one up. So now I can watch the Simpsons clearly and I can watch random music videos. Thank you government. High five... I said HIGH FIVE!

Alright, Science Nerds... (PADDY)

So check this out. My good friend Chris Kubicek of Thee Spivies came over last night and he was telling me about this weirdo mad scientist who found a way to make alternative energy. I believe it was called zero point energy. He has a sweet machine (the scientist not Chris Kubicek of Thee Spivies) that can generate an insane amout of electricity that can power ten one hundred volt lightbulbs. Pretty weird!

So this video you are about to watch starts out boring but gets exciting. You may want to fast forward through some stuff. Actually, start watching it at 3:37. The vid is about 9:46 minutes long. The really cool stuff though starts at 6:38. Check it out!

No more Cell Phone!!!

Seriously you guys, On April 24, (Due to the man), I will no longer have a cell phone, and I will need your phone numbers. Sorry all three of you who are not my friends who look at this blogger, but I only want my friends' numbers. Email me with your numbers. chris@theburn.com. If you do not do this I may not have anyway to communicate with you. Also, if you email me, I will email you back my phone number at no extra cost.

Plus while writting down some of the numbers my phone lost it's battery power and I burned out my charger. So it's a little harder to get the numbers in my phone. So please send me some numbers. Thank you for your support.

Toast Really?!!!... Toast?

So the other day I was putting some bread on the shelve, when all of a sudden, I saw something that really boggled the mind (or my mind anyway). It was packaged toast. Toast people!!! I just can't believe it. TOAST!!! I mean are we too lazy to put bread in the toaster anymore. In the words of Job [Arrested Development], "C'mon"! Think about it. What if you want it warm? It would take more effort to actually put it in the microwave than to press down the little lever on the toaster.

Now to counterpoint: The toast is a mexican brand. So I'm wondering if it is a hispanic thing. I grew up around Mexican food all of my life and I have never heard of that before.

Be free to comment me on this.

&fmt=18

Alright computer geeks, I need to know something. Do I need to enter &fmt=18 every time I want to watch a youtube in Higher Quality? is there way around that. I'm wondering because, It is easy for me to forget and I hate watching videos with all of those little pixels.

Also, for anybody out there who has no idea what I'm talking about, when you go to youtube.com, you can type &fmt=18 at the end of the URL and the video will come out much clearer. Check it out.

A Sad Day In The Lunaverse

The other day I came to a sad realization. My hours were cut drastically at work. This means that I have to cut some things off. So on April 20th, I will no longer have a cellphone. So, if you want to contact me, you will have to call my home phone. I don't want to give out my phone number over the internet so email me at chris@theburn.com if you want it.
High Fives to all and to all a good night.

The Band / Artist of the 2000s

The 2000s are almost over and in a couple of years, the 2010s are coming. So this is what brings me to my new blog topic, "The Band / Artist of the 2000s". You see, in the 50s, it was Elvis Presley. In the 60s, it was The Beatles. In the 70s, it was Led Zeppelin. In the 80s, it was U2. And, in the 90s, it was Nirvana.

So comment me with your choice for the band or artist of the 00s. My picks are Foo Fighters or The White Stripes, but I'm afraid that it may just be Coldplay and I really dislike Coldplay except for the song,"Clocks".
